Marcel the Shell effectively uses proportions to compare and contrast the shell with larger, human items in an attempt to comment on the irony of size, both physically and mentally. The shell mentions that she uses a raisin as a bean bag chair, and once looked at a diamond and got a sunburn. Although Marcel is small, she appreciates her good qualities and finds her head-to-body ratio of no concern to others. We learn that shells only attack when provoked. Though through Marcel, the lint dragging shell, we are insprired by the potential and intrigued by the importance of each individual rather than a group with similar outter characteristics.

Marcel the shell uses porportion in the video quite a bit like when she would stand in front of the toliet because it just doesnt make sense for the tiny shell to use a full sized toilet. Or another example was when she tried to pick up they crayon when it was pretty obvious that she couldnt because she was only a shell that doesnt have human strength. Lastly there was when marcel stood next to the bottle of coca cola because i mean there is just know way something that small could drink something that big.

So the most obvious art element that is used in this video is scale. Marcel is a shell so he's really small, but you can't really tell since the camera is so close. With the help of various objects (Coke bottle, table leg, sneaker, toilet) it is easier to see how big Marcel is compared to everything else. The narrator's voice also makes Marcel seem small because it's so high pitched, but the voice is still very funny. Also, when Marcel says that his brother killed someone by impaling him on a brush, Marcel makes it seem like he has human tendencies despite the fact that he's a shell with shoes and one googly eye.

Marcel the Shell uses the many aspects of porportion. One of them, shows to be the contrast from a mans voice, to a quiet and more cowardly voice. Another one of these major aspects is the way size is shown, for example Marcel uses a "hair and a mans toe nail" for a pair of skiis. The theme of scale is used most in this video to show the preception of Marcel the shell.

The most obvious art element used in Marcell the Shell was scale. The small shell doesn't seem to be very small by itself. But when compared to other things, (shoe, table, salad, etc) the shell appears to be much smaller. Also when Marcell would point out things like using lint for a dog, and that it takes the whole family to use a pen, it gives a person perspective so one can really see how small Marcell is.

Marcel the shell uses proportion and scale to create comedy.the larger objects used in the video played up the irony of Marcel being quite small. Marecel states throughout the video what objects he uses for her everyday uses. For example,he says that his skis are a mans toenails, his dog is a piece of lint on a hair, and the high pitched voice that Marcel the male shell uses make him seem even smaller. but this little shell has big personality and will fight whan provoked. :)

Scale is used numerous times in Marcell the Shell to create a sense of humor. The way that Marcell's shoes are quite a few sizes too big for Marcell, right off the bat show how porportion can be used to give the a piece of a art a surrealist feel to it. The way the toilet towers over Marcell is another great example of how scale was used to make this video funny. In the words of Marcell, "People say my head is too big for my body, and I say, ' Compared to WHAT'". Scale and porportion can create numerous tones to a piece of art including humor.

Scale is used as the main element in this video. Marcel the shell is very small compared to the normal toilet or the cell phone. It doesn't make sense how he talks about these objects, which obviously can't be used by him. Even if his behavior is really self-confident. It creates a contradiction and I think this makes the video so funny.

Marcell the Shell uses its character's small scale and crazy preportions in order to be funny. Such as when Marcell says that sometimes he uses a piece of lint as a dog (proclaiming "You know what they say--lint is a shell's best friend.") Also, when he talks on the phone (standing on top of the phone) and turns from the back of the phone to the front.

In the video Marcell the Shell, scale is used to create comedy. Marcell says she uses lint as a dog, a single leaf for salad for Marcell and his friends, and hang glides on Doritos for adventure. Also his high pitched voice makes Marcell seem even smaller. Marcell has many great qualities and a big personality. He wont fight unless provoked.

Marcell the Shell mainly displays proportion throughout the entire movie. This can be seen through comparison of Marcell's size compared to the size of all the full scale human objects. Marcell's small stature is played up through small comments throughout the video. He is so small he can hang glide on a dorito, one small bit of lettuce serves as an entire salad for Marcell, he uses strands of hair as rope, etc. many of these small details display the art element of scale within the movie.
